Yesterday bright and early, I arrived at Pod Camp Western Mass 3 at Westfield State. I was immediately overwhelmed with the amount of people at the event. However, I was not surprised at all to find friendly, and happy faces I was greeted by.
I had never been to a Pod Camp before so I was really open for anything. What I discovered was that Pod Camp is an “unconference,” for any age, and any social media background who wants to learn and contribute their findings in the social media. Some attendees were their to simply be a sponge and retain all “pod-like” elements to gain awareness of the market and to keep up with times, while others were there to inform and teach others their expertise. The great thing about Pod Camp was that no matter if you were a sponge or an expert, everyone was able to give input, advice, and knowledge.
It was a great way to network and make friendships in the area. For me, it was friendships in Western Mass. I met a lot of great people, and people of all different backgrounds of business.
